Social Media Feud Erupts into Violent Street Brawl in Noida: Brothers Targeted by ‘Local Mafia’ Gang

Noida, India — A social media dispute escalated into a violent street confrontation in Sector 53 on Monday, resulting in two brothers suffering severe injuries after a group of men attacked them. Saurabh and Sumit Yadav were assaulted by a convoy of at least five vehicles, which blocked their path and forced them from their Fortuner SUV.

Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers, identified by Saurabh as Akash Awana, Aman Awana, Gaurav Chauhan, and Kunal Chauhan, used brute force to drag the brothers out of their vehicle. Saurabh alleged that this group, which he described as part of a local “mafia” operating a travel business, had premeditated their actions.

The roots of the conflict trace back to an unresolved financial dispute from 2017, compounded by a recent comment on Instagram that reignited tensions. According to Saurabh, the group had previously confronted his friend and girlfriend, leading to an escalating sense of animosity. When the assailants spotted the brothers on the road, they instantly recognized them, suggesting a longstanding feud.

Violent scenes captured on video have surfaced online, showing Saurabh attempting to evade bricks hurled at him while onlookers watched. In one alarming moment, a Thar SUV reportedly aimed to run him over, forcing him into a nearby drain. The images have prompted widespread outrage across social media platforms.

In a video statement, Saurabh expressed frustration over the lack of immediate police action despite their serious injuries. However, law enforcement authorities have confirmed that a formal complaint has been filed at the Sector 24 police station. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Sumit Shukla indicated that a specialized team is actively investigating the incident, utilizing the viral videos as crucial evidence in their pursuit of the suspects.

As the investigation unfolds, community members are left shaken by the brutality of the attack, sparking discussions about safety and the implications of unchecked social media disputes spilling into real life. Police have urged individuals to report any suspicious activity and assured the public that they are committed to swiftly resolving this case.
