Los Angeles County authorities are currently on the lookout for suspects involved in two separate assaults that occurred on the Metro system within hours of each other.
The first incident took place in Glendale on a Metro bus when three juveniles robbed and stabbed a teenager near West Los Feliz Road and South Central Avenue around 7 p.m. According to the Glendale Police Department, the suspects took the victim’s backpack before assaulting him. Fortunately, a nearby police officer was able to detain two of the suspects at the scene.
Meanwhile, two hours later in South Los Angeles, a woman was injured in a violent attack inside an elevator at the Metro Green Line station. The assailant, a man, stabbed the victim at the station along Vermont Avenue and the 105 Freeway around 9 p.m. before fleeing. Police reported that the man was last seen on a train headed towards the Hawthorne area.
