Starlet Kavya Gowda Breaks Silence on Shocking Family Attack: Details of Assault and Hospitalization Revealed

Bengaluru, India – Kannada television actress Kavya Gowda has spoken publicly about a violent family dispute that allegedly left her husband, Somashekar, hospitalized. The incident reportedly involved multiple family members, leading to claims of assault and serious threats against her and her family.

Gowda, known for her roles in popular television series “Radha Ramana” and “Gandhari,” described a harrowing episode involving her husband and several relatives. According to her account, she and Somashekar were attacked by his brother, Nandish, his wife Prema, and several other family members. Somashekar sustained stab wounds during the altercation and is currently receiving medical care.

In a press conference following the incident, Gowda revealed that the altercation stemmed from a dispute involving a caretaker hired for their young daughter. Family members made accusations against the caretaker, which Gowda firmly denied. “The allegations were completely unfounded. She was employed solely to support us,” she said, emphasizing that the home is equipped with surveillance cameras to ensure security.

Recounting the events leading up to the violent confrontation on January 26, Gowda described how her daughter became a target of family criticisms regarding the caretaker. “When they threatened my child, I knew I could not remain silent,” she stated. The tension escalated later that evening, culminating in a physically aggressive attack.

Gowda also detailed severe threats made against her during the fight, claiming that one relative, Ravi Kumar, threatened both her life and her dignity while brandishing political connections. “How can anyone think they can threaten a woman in such a manner? This is not just an argument; it’s a matter of law,” she argued passionately.

With Somashekar still recovering in the hospital, Gowda expressed concern about the nature of the violence inflicted on him. “I’m relieved my husband is safe, but it’s alarming that this behavior could come from someone with their own daughters,” she remarked.

In her address, she urged the media to refrain from implicating her father-in-law in the incident, describing him as a respectable figure who has treated her well. “I don’t want my family to be dragged into this. He is not involved in the conflict,” she said.

Despite the tension within the family, Gowda indicated a preference for remaining in their joint household, where she has spent five years of her marriage. “I cherish living with my in-laws. This behavior has been ongoing, but the moment they threatened my child, it crossed a line,” she noted.

A police investigation has commenced, and Gowda has formally registered a complaint concerning the altercation. She reiterated her commitment to pursuing justice through legal channels, maintaining that her actions are justified within the framework of the law.
