Authorities report that the victims, aged 37 and 39, became alarmed after spotting two individuals wearing hoodies and masks. They began filming the suspicious pair, hoping to document any potential wrongdoing. Instead of retreating, the masked men reacted aggressively, escalating the situation into a violent altercation.
During the confrontation, one assailant, clad in a purple jacket and black mask, slashed the 39-year-old man’s hand. Meanwhile, another aggressor, dressed in an orange jacket, shoved the 37-year-old onto the tracks, although he managed to scramble back to safety before a train arrived.
Emergency medical services transported both victims to Weill Cornell Medical Center, where they were reported to be in stable condition. The 37-year-old experienced persistent pain in his right elbow but sustained no serious injuries despite the close call.
