Whale Sustained Blunt Force Trauma Injuries in New Jersey Beach Death Investigation

LONG BEACH TOWNSHIP, N.J. – An examination of a juvenile humpback whale that washed ashore in Long Beach Island, New Jersey, revealed multiple blunt force injuries, including a fractured skull and vertebrae.
