Hope County deputies discovered the bodies of Ted Chavis, 52, and his wife, Joanne, 48, in their home on Monday night. Authorities initially responded to an emergency call reporting a possible cardiac arrest, but the situation quickly revealed a more sinister scene.
The couple’s 17-year-old foster son was identified as the primary suspect in the killings. After the incident, he allegedly fled the scene, taking the family car.
