Teenager Facing Murder Charge After Fatal Shooting in Raleigh, N.C.

RALEIGH, N.C. – A shooting that took place in Raleigh on Monday afternoon has turned into a homicide investigation after the victim succumbed to his injuries. The Raleigh Police announced on Tuesday that a 24-year-old man, identified as Amari Goss, had died as a result of the shooting. Meanwhile, a 14-year-old teenager is now facing murder charges in connection with Goss’ death.

The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Monday in the 1300 block of Poole Road. This shooting marked the second violent incident of the day in the Capital City, following another shooting earlier that afternoon that left a 20-year-old man hospitalized after being shot twice on Bragg Street. Despite the proximity in timing, the Raleigh Police have stated that they do not believe the two shootings are related.

Law enforcement officials revealed that multiple individuals pulled up to the house where the fatal shooting took place and proceeded to open fire.
