DETROIT — A man in his fifties was taken into custody following a tragic shooting incident at Henry Ford Hospital that left his former spouse dead. Mario Green, 53, reportedly shot Latricia Green in the hospital’s basement on Friday morning, prompting a significant police response and a manhunt throughout the city.
Authorities arrested Green early Saturday at approximately 3 a.m. in the area of Lemay Street and East Warren Avenue, with the assistance of various law enforcement agencies, including the ATF and FBI. “Our officers worked tirelessly to get this dangerous individual off the streets,” said Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison. “I extend my gratitude to our law enforcement partners and the community members who provided crucial tips that led to his apprehension.
