Kanpur Dehat, India – A tragic incident in India has left a community in shock after a local man was brutally assaulted to death for refusing to give free paani puri to a local goon and his gang members. The victim, identified as 40-year-old Prem Chandra, lived in the Chakeri area with his wife and children. Police officials reported that on Sunday evening, Chandra was confronted by a local goon named Dheeraj and four accomplices, demanding free paani puri. When Chandra refused, he was verbally abused and physically assaulted.
Fortunately, local residents intervened and managed to rescue Chandra from the attackers. However, his health deteriorated later that night, prompting his family to rush him to the nearest hospital, where he was declared dead by doctors. In response to the incident, the police have taken charge and sent Chandra’s body for a postmortem examination.
Inspector Ashok Kumar Dubey from Chakeri police station stated, “No visible injury marks were found on the victim’s body.” He also mentioned that actions will be taken based on the autopsy report and other necessary findings.
The brutal nature of the attack and the tragic loss of life have sparked outrage in the community, with many calling for justice for Chandra and his family. The incident has also raised concerns about the safety of street vendors and the prevalence of criminal activity in the area.
