LACONIA, Ind. — A peaceful rural area in Harrison County became the scene of a tragic incident this Friday as a shooting at a home left two people dead and another injured. Indiana State Police along with local Harrison County officers responded to the disturbance at a residence situated on Mosquito Creek Road near the small town of Laconia.
Upon arriving, authorities discovered 56-year-old Marion Young with a gunshot wound to his arm. Young, who had managed to escape to a neighbor’s house to seek help, was subsequently transported to a hospital in Louisville. Reports confirm that his injuries are not life-threatening.

Two elderly individuals, identified as 84-year-old Donald Ray Weaver and 82-year-old Virginia Scoffield, were found deceased near the back door of the home.
