Tragic Loss, Couple Killed In Separate Crashes

ZACHARY, LA – In a heartbreaking series of events, a young couple from Louisiana, Alexis Lee and John JR Collins, lost their lives in separate car accidents within hours of each other, leaving their families and the community in shock.

The couple, who were planning to marry soon, were driving on Plank Road when Lee’s SUV veered off course, resulting in a fatal crash near Lyman Road. Collins, on his way to the crash site, also lost control of his car outside Clinton, hitting a tree and dying from the impact.

Their deaths have left a void in the lives of their loved ones, particularly their four-year-old son, Gabriel. Lee, a Southern University alumna and a teacher at East Feliciana Steam Academy, was known for her dedication and passion. Collins, a truck driver, was equally passionate about sports cars and his family.
