SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — An altercation in a restaurant parking lot on New Year’s Day escalated to a tragic end when a man allegedly shot and killed his brother, authorities said. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office reported that the incident occurred outside Casa Blanca Modern Mexican Tequila Bar.
According to officials, deputies were called to the scene around 8 p.m. following reports of gunshots. They discovered one man deceased from gunshot wounds. At the scene, 25-year-old Steve Anthony Iglesia Jr. surrendered to the authorities, kneeling with his hands behind his head.
