On Saturday morning, the 30-year-old resident of Gudamba was riding home when he noticed a woman being targeted by two individuals on a motorcycle. Surveillance footage acquired by police reveals Jain aggressively pursuing the suspects on his scooter around 6:15 a.m., while shouting to alert those nearby. Tragically, as he chased the thieves, he lost control and collided with a parked pickup truck, sustaining severe injuries.
An eyewitness recounted the harrowing moment, saying, “I witnessed two vehicles approaching from the intersection. The man on the scooter was calling out for help when, suddenly, there was a loud crash, and I saw him fall underneath a pickup.” The quick action of passersby led to Jain being rushed to a local hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Initially, authorities recorded the incident as a road accident; however, Jain’s relatives are advocating for it to be classified as murder. His uncle, Alok Jain, expressed his concerns about the initial findings, arguing, “The shared footage makes it clear this was not just an accident. It was a targeted act against him.
