Aali Gaon, India — A distressing video circulating online has captured a brutal attack on a man in South-East Delhi, drawing attention to escalating violence related to property disputes. The incident occurred on October 24, when Raghuraj Singh, an employee at a municipal school, was allegedly accosted by a man named Mohit and another individual while commuting to work.
Witnesses claim the assailants ambushed Singh’s vehicle near Aali Extension on Mathura Road. In a shocking display of aggression, they shattered the car’s windshield, forcibly pulled Singh from the vehicle, and began to beat him with rods and sticks in broad daylight.
Singh, who suffered multiple fractures to both legs, was promptly taken to Apollo Hospital, where he is now reported to be in stable condition. Hospital authorities confirmed that a legal case has been filed in connection with the incident, prompting police to open an immediate investigation.
Authorities believe that the violence was rooted in a long-standing property dispute. Mohit, the primary suspect, had reportedly purchased a plot in Aali Extension two years prior and had begun construction work there. However, about a month ago, the Delhi Development Authority demolished the structure, leading Mohit to suspect Singh of being the source of the complaint that triggered the demolition.
Law enforcement is now actively searching for Mohit, also known as Poli, and his accomplice. A comprehensive manhunt is underway, as police have filed charges under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code.
This incident has reignited discussions about the rising tide of violence connected to real estate conflicts in urban areas. Local residents are voicing concerns over safety, noting that such attacks compromise the sense of security within their communities.
Police officials emphasized the urgency of addressing these violent disputes through legal channels rather than resorting to aggressive actions. They reiterated that the safety of citizens remains a top priority as they continue their investigation into this alarming case.
