Woman Accused of Parking Garage Vandalism Now Charged in Broad Ripple Assault

Indianapolis – A woman accused of robbing a hospital worker and vandalizing over 50 cars inside a parking garage has now been charged in connection to a violent attack outside a Broad Ripple grocery store. Denise Honorio has faced a series of charges stemming from separate incidents, including robbery, battery, and vandalism, causing over $50,000 in damages in downtown Indianapolis earlier this month.

Following her arrest, subsequent investigations have connected her to additional crimes in the Indianapolis area. A police officer spotted Honorio days after the initial incident, leading to the discovery of an Indiana driver’s license belonging to someone else. Further investigation revealed that Honorio was also responsible for an assault of a shopper in a Fresh Thyme parking lot and an attack on an innocent bystander. Surveillance footage supported these claims, showing her getting off an IndyGo bus and casually walking to the grocery store where the assault occurred.

With mounting evidence against her, Honorio now faces an additional count of felony 3 aggravated battery causing loss or impairment of bodily function in the Broad Ripple assault case. If convicted, she could potentially face up to 16 years in prison. Her trial for the initial robbery and vandalism incidents is set to begin at a later date.
