Woman Faces Allegations of Drugging Man and Stealing $18K Rolex Post Night Out

MIAMI, FL – A night out in Brickell turned into a criminal investigation when a woman was arrested for allegedly drugging and robbing a man at a trendy bar. The suspect, Rachel Warner, 23, is accused of spiking the man’s drink at the Sugar Rooftop Bar and then making off with his luxury watch.

Miami-Dade police have seen an uptick in such “bad date cases,” where unsuspecting victims are drugged and robbed. The incident unfolded when Warner reportedly struck up a conversation with the victim at the bar before accompanying him to his hotel room. Once there, she allegedly served him a tainted drink that rendered him unconscious.

Upon regaining consciousness, the man discovered that his $18,000 Rolex was missing. Surveillance video from the hotel captured Warner leaving the scene in the early hours, seemingly in a rush.

Local residents expressed their alarm at the crime, though authorities noted that this type of incident is not unusual in the vibrant Miami nightlife. Police have been on high alert for similar activities and were able to apprehend Warner when she was spotted interacting with another potential target.

During the arrest, officers found two bottles in Warner’s possession containing a suspicious liquid. Tests are underway to identify the substance, which investigators believe was used to incapacitate her victims.

Warner is currently held without bond as the investigation continues. Law enforcement officials are urging the community to remain vigilant and to always monitor their beverages when out in public venues.

This case highlights the risks associated with socializing in bustling nightlife areas and underscores the need for personal safety awareness.
