EUREKA, Calif. — A 20-year-old man is facing serious charges after allegedly attacking his uncle in Eureka on Monday night. The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to an assault call at a residence on Wycliff Lane around 10 p.m.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officials found the 47-year-old victim suffering from significant injuries. He was bleeding but the injuries were not deemed life-threatening. The victim identified his nephew, Felix Yancy Arbaugh, as the assailant.
Emergency responders transported the uncle to a local hospital for urgent care. Meanwhile, the sheriff’s deputies began an investigation, which confirmed that a violent altercation had taken place. Following their findings, they arrested Arbaugh on charges of attempted homicide.
Arbaugh has since been booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility, where he awaits further legal proceedings. Authorities continue to investigate the particulars of the case, seeking clarity on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
