Alice Springs Resident Attacked in Violent Home Invasion: Police Seek Information and CCTV Footage

Alice Springs, Australia – A violent home invasion in Alice Springs has left a female resident injured after three men broke into a residence in the East Side neighborhood. The attackers reportedly used an axe to force their way into the home, where they proceeded to assault the woman and ransack the property.

According to reports, the incident occurred early Sunday morning, prompting a response from NT Police. The female resident was allegedly struck multiple times with a baton and punched in the face by one of the offenders. The attackers spent approximately 20 minutes searching the residence before leaving with valuable items, including car keys.

Upon their return, the offenders demanded the residents come out of the bedroom before breaking down the door with the axe. They proceeded to steal jewelry, a laptop, and cash from the residence. Fortunately, they left without taking any vehicles from the property.

NT Police Duty Superintendent Tanya Woodcock described the attack as particularly violent and likely traumatising for the victims. Authorities are now urging anyone with information or CCTV footage from the Bougainvilia Avenue area to come forward and assist with the investigation.
