Assailants Identified: Edmonton Police on the Hunt for LRT Attack Suspects

Edmonton, Alberta – Edmonton police have made significant progress in identifying suspects involved in a violent assault and robbery at the Churchill LRT station last month. The incident occurred when a 64-year-old man was attacked by a group of assailants while waiting for a train on the ground-level platform. After a brief verbal exchange with one man, the victim was violently assaulted and knocked to the ground before five others joined in on the attack. The victim was then robbed before the assailants fled the scene.

The victim was treated by emergency medical services and transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Surveillance shots of the group were released by investigators, leading to the arrest of two suspects. However, three suspects remain unidentified, and police are actively seeking public assistance to identify them. One male suspect was armed with pepper spray, while another was seen riding a bicycle. A female was also part of the group.

Const. Anton Golosov expressed gratitude for the public’s assistance in the case and urged anyone who recognizes the suspects in the surveillance photos to contact the police. Among the identified suspects, Markus Lee Gladue, 21, is wanted on warrants for aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous offensive weapon, and robbery. Brady Rodney Desroches-Smith, 28, has been charged with aggravated assault and robbery, and Travis Damian Houle, 35, faces charges of aggravated assault, robbery, and failure to comply with a probation order.

Anyone with information relating to the case is encouraged to contact the Edmonton police at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. The authorities continue to work diligently to bring all suspects involved in the violent assault and robbery to justice.
