Bulldog Auto Detailing Hosts Cars for a Cause Event to Support Carrillo Family After Home Explosion Tragedy

TEMPLE, Texas – The community came together on Saturday afternoon to show support for the Carrillo family, who recently experienced a devastating explosion at their home. The tragic event, which occurred on Christmas Eve, resulted in the loss of 64-year-old Manuela Carrillo and left her husband, Fidel Carrillo, in recovery at a Dallas burn unit.

In an effort to assist the Carrillo family with their unexpected expenses, including medical bills and funeral costs, a group called Bell County Car Meets organized the Cars for a Cause event. The event provided an opportunity for people to make cash donations and support the family by purchasing food from onsite trucks that donated a portion of their proceeds.

Bell County Car Meets, originally a gathering for car enthusiasts, has shifted its focus to giving back to nonprofits and families in need. Nicholas Quaschnik from Bell County Car Meets stated, “Now we’re focused on doing charity work and helping out as much as we can.”

Tammy Karms, a neighbor of the Carrillo family, expressed her support by donating $50 at the event. She emphasized the importance of coming together to support the family during such a difficult time, recognizing the significant impact of the tragedy on their lives.

The explosion at the Carrillo home in Rogers, Texas, on Dec. 24 was initially mistaken for a thunderstorm. The community’s response to the Cars for a Cause event demonstrates their willingness to rally together and provide assistance to those in need.

The Carrillo family’s tragedy has deeply affected the community, and the support shown at the Cars for a Cause event highlights the resilience and compassion of the people in Temple, Texas. This initiative serves as a reminder of the power of community support in times of hardship.
