Manhunt underway for suspect in Houston gas station shooting rampage

Houston, Texas – Authorities are on the lookout for a man accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend at a gas station in Houston. The suspect then engaged in a gunfight with a deputy constable before fleeing the scene.

The incident unfolded around 12:35 a.m. at a gas station near MacGregor and Almeda. A Houston Fire Department ambulance crew witnessed a domestic disturbance between the suspect and the woman while they were fueling up at the station. The situation escalated as the suspect chased the woman and shot her multiple times, prompting the HFD crew to seek safety and notify a deputy constable.

After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene but returned shortly after, leading to another confrontation with the deputy constable. The suspect ultimately drove away in a black Chevy Camaro with Texas license plate DTB4849. The wounded woman was given aid by the HFD crew and transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Assistant Chief Anderson of the Houston Police Department emphasized the seriousness of the incident, referring to it as a tragic outcome of a domestic disturbance. The suspect, who remains at large, is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities are actively searching for him and the vehicle involved, urging the public to provide any relevant information.
