Murder Conspiracy Trial of Michelle Troconis Unfolds in Connecticut Court – Watch the Case Live Here

NORWALK, Conn. – A trial is underway in Fairfield County for Michelle Troconis, who is accused of helping her then-boyfriend murder his estranged wife and cover up the crime. The victim, Jennifer Farber Dulos, disappeared from her home in New Canaan, Connecticut on May 24, 2019. Although her body has not been found, evidence suggests that she was a victim of a violent crime and is likely deceased.

Troconis’ then-boyfriend, Fotis Dulos, committed suicide, but maintained his innocence in a suicide note. Now, Troconis and Dulos’ friend, attorney Kent Mawhinney, are facing allegations that they participated in the murder conspiracy. Troconis allegedly joined Dulos in discarding evidence in trash cans across the city of Hartford, Connecticut.

Authorities also claim to have discovered an “alibi script” at the apartment shared by Troconis and Dulos, which presented the cover story she used when first speaking to investigators. However, she began changing her stories when confronted with evidence. During interviews, she allegedly admitted to cleaning up a mess that Dulos claimed was coffee but did not smell like coffee.

In a statement obtained by NBC Connecticut in May 2020, Troconis disavowed Dulos, stating, “Whether or not Fotis Dulos was capable of doing the things the police and prosecutors accused him of doing, I do not know. But based on what I have learned in the last year, I think it was a mistake to have trusted him.”

Without any admission of guilt, Troconis maintains that she was involved in cleaning the house, but not in the act of cleaning up the victim. The trial continues as authorities seek justice for the murder of Jennifer Farber Dulos.
