PALM HARBOR, Florida – Tragedy struck a Palm Harbor home on Tuesday morning as authorities found two individuals deceased from gunshot wounds, prompting an investigation into what is suspected to be a murder-suicide.
Local deputies swiftly responded to a call reporting the grim discovery at a residence on Moreno Drive. Upon arriving, law enforcement discovered the lifeless body of 52-year-old Stacey McLean in one of the bedrooms. In a separate room, 26-year-old Darryl Serraj was found deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities revealed that Serraj had been in a long-term romantic relationship with McLean’s daughter for around five years, a relationship that had recently ended. Tragically, the situation escalated to a violent outcome with Serraj allegedly breaking into the home, fatally shooting McLean, and then taking his own life.
