San Jose Police Arrest Three Men for Homicide Following October Shooting

San Jose, California – Three men have been taken into custody on suspicion of homicide after allegedly shooting and killing a man in San Jose several months ago. According to a statement from the San Jose Police Department, suspects Saran Moeun, Chhorn Than, and Vu Hung Le were arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.

The incident occurred on October 25 at 9:13 p.m. when police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1600 block of Tully Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim who had been shot at least once. Tragically, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspects had fled the scene before the arrival of law enforcement, but through investigation, they were identified as potential suspects in the homicide. Authorities did not disclose the specifics of how the trio came to be identified as the perpetrators.

The San Jose Police Department, with the assistance of the Covert Response Unit and MERGE Unit, apprehended Moeun in Oakland and Than in Livermore on March 26. During searches of their residences, firearms and ammunition were discovered. On May 3, Le was also arrested in San Jose.

The motive and circumstances surrounding the crime, which marked the city’s 29th homicide of 2023, are still under investigation by authorities. As of Wednesday morning, the victim’s identity had not been released to the public.
