Shooting Erupts at Queens Baby Shower Leaving One Dead and Three Injured

QUEENS, NEW YORK – Tragedy struck a baby shower in Queens over the weekend, resulting in one fatality and leaving three others injured due to a sudden outbreak of gunfire.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday along Atlantic Avenue in the Richmond Hill neighborhood, with reports of an ongoing assault prompting 911 calls. Law enforcement arrived at the scene to discover multiple individuals with gunshot wounds at a small venue where the baby shower was taking place.

A 24-year-old man, critically injured with a gunshot to the chest, was quickly transported to Jamaica Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. In addition, two other men aged 45 and 25 were also wounded by single gunshots and received medical attention at a nearby hospital.

Subsequently, a 43-year-old man arrived at Jamaica Hospital with injuries sustained from gunshots to his arm and leg, indicating the severity of the violent incident. As the police continued their investigation, the perpetrator behind the shooting remained at large, leaving authorities with no immediate leads on the circumstances leading up to the tragic event.
