TUCKER: Suspect Identified in Tragic Murder-Suicide of Three Children

TUCKER, GA – A tragic incident unfolded in Tucker, where police have identified Jose Plasencia, 56, of Norcross as the suspect involved in a possible murder-suicide that claimed the lives of three children and himself. The heartbreaking scene occurred on Wednesday in the 4600 block of Britt Road, shaking the community to its core.

The three children, identified as Arianny Rodriguez, 13, Carlos Rodriguez, 9, and Chadal Rodriguez, 11, all of Atlanta, were found deceased by an officer during a routine area check at Lucky Shoals Park around 1 a.m. It was a deeply distressing discovery, leaving authorities and the local residents stunned and devastated.

Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer spotted the children and Plasencia inside. The mother of the children, who was not present at the scene, was at a hospital with another child receiving treatment for an unrelated injury. Plasencia was revealed to be the father of the hospitalized child, adding another layer of tragedy to the already heartbreaking situation.
