Arrest Made in Jersey City Triple Shooting Tragedy: Man Charged with Murder and Assault

Jersey City, New Jersey – Authorities have arrested and charged a 36-year-old man in connection with a triple shooting incident that resulted in the death of one man and injuries to two others. Joseph Del Valle, hailing from Hoboken, faces charges of murder, weapons possession, and assault in relation to the tragic events that unfolded on March 9.

The shooting took place at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Jordan Avenue, near McGinley Square, just a short distance away from a local high school. The victim, identified as 33-year-old Christoph Terrero Marte from Jersey City, succumbed to his injuries, while a 28-year-old from Union City and a 31-year-old from Jersey City received medical treatment for non-life-threatening wounds.

Law enforcement officials apprehended Del Valle at an address on Summit Avenue in Jersey City and subsequently transferred him to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his initial court appearance. Alongside Del Valle, authorities also charged 42-year-old Francisco Salcedo from Jersey City with aggravated assault and weapons offenses, with his apprehension taking place at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus on March 11.
