Metal Stanley Cup Attack at Pennsylvania Middle School Ignites Parent Outrage

NORTH WALES, Pa. – A Pennsylvania middle school student addressed the Board of Education with a harrowing account of a violent incident that occurred at Pennbrook Middle School. The incident involved an unprovoked attack on a 12-year-old classmate with a metal Stanley cup, as reported by the NY Post.

According to the student, identified as Emily, chaos ensued as she heard screams and witnessed students running before the sound of the Stanley cup striking the victim’s head. She described the distressing scene of school employees cleaning up blood and assisting the injured student, an image that left a lasting impact on her.

Parents of students at Pennbrook Middle School expressed outrage over the alleged failure of school administrators to prevent the attack. They claim that teachers were aware of a “hit list” of students targeted by the 13-year-old assailant but failed to take appropriate action.

Reports indicate that guidance counselors were informed by students about a potential incident at lunchtime, signaling a lack of intervention by school officials. The gravity of the situation prompted around 50 parents to attend the meeting to voice their concerns.

One parent, Stephanie Palovcak, shared that her daughter had raised concerns about the attacker, who had recently transferred to the school. The alleged history of violence from the assailant, including expulsion from a previous school, was a point of contention that the school superintendent addressed.

Superintendent Todd Bauer expressed shock over the incident and emphasized collaboration with local law enforcement to prevent future occurrences. The accused student is expected to face multiple charges, including felony aggravated assault.

The community remains shaken by the incident, highlighting the need for swift and decisive action to ensure the safety and well-being of students at Pennbrook Middle School.
