Plantation Tragedy Unfolds: Mother and Child Found Dead, Father in Critical Condition

Plantation, Florida – Police in Plantation, Florida have identified the mother and young child found dead, along with the father believed to be responsible for an apparent double murder and attempted suicide at a Plantation home. The victims were identified as Sara Ashley Gama, 38, and her 2-year-old son, Ethan Aponte. The father, 40-year-old Jean Carlos Aponte, was also found at the scene.

Jean Carlos Aponte was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition after an apparent self-induced drug overdose. Authorities have labeled the incident as an apparent murder-suicide attempt, with Aponte being a suspect in the deaths of his wife and child. The cause of death has not been disclosed as officials continue to investigate the tragic event.
