Fatal Crash Leaves Two Dead, Including Juvenile, in Las Vegas Valley

Las Vegas, Nevada – An investigation is underway by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department following a tragic crash that resulted in two fatalities, including a juvenile, and multiple injuries in the southeast valley. Responding to reports of the incident on Wednesday evening in the 3600 block of Boulder Highway, south of Sahara Avenue, police arrived to assess the situation.

According to authorities, the driver of a white Kia sedan was observed traveling in the wrong direction on Boulder Highway from Karen Avenue. The vehicle collided with a group of individuals waiting at a bus stop, leading to two fatalities, including a juvenile, and three individuals sustaining injuries of varying degrees.

The three injured parties were promptly taken to local hospitals for treatment of their serious injuries, while the driver of the vehicle was also transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. Patrol and traffic officers swiftly responded to the scene to provide assistance to the injured and initiate an investigation into the crash.

Law enforcement suspects that impairment and speed may have been contributing factors to the tragic incident. As a result, Boulder Highway southbound will remain closed for the duration of the investigation. This remains a developing story, and updates will be provided as available.
