Road Rage Shooting in Norcross: Bullets Fly as Driver Escapes Gunman’s Attack

Norcross, Georgia – A terrifying incident of road rage in Norcross took a dangerous turn when a driver found himself under fire from a shooter while trying to escape, according to local authorities. The victim, on his way to work, sustained a graze to the leg as several bullets struck his vehicle during the chaotic encounter.

Upon arrival at the scene, an officer reviewing the body camera footage expressed shock, stating, “It looks like they were trying to kill you.” The victim recounted being taken by surprise at the sudden hail of bullets that surrounded his car, turning his morning commute into a nightmare.

The altercation began early in the morning on April 11, when the victim reported being cut off by a driver in a white pickup truck near Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Holcomb Bridge Road. In a moment of confrontation, shots were fired at the victim’s vehicle, causing panic and mayhem on the road.

Witnesses in the area described the harrowing scene as bullets flew, with one individual recounting how they kept a safe distance to avoid getting caught in the line of fire. Despite the chaos, prompt investigative work by Gwinnett and Norcross police led to the identification of a suspect vehicle based on the victim’s account.

Subsequent to the incident, authorities were able to track down and apprehend the shooter, identified as 26-year-old Lisandro Pacheco. Pacheco was taken into custody on charges of aggravated assault, among others, and remains in jail without bond. The swift action taken by law enforcement led to a sense of relief in the community, knowing that a dangerous individual had been removed from the streets.
